Custom Motorcycle Helmets

Steve Valentino asked:

Helmets which are fashioned and made according to our own specifications are known as custom motorcycle helmets. Although different types and kinds of motorcycle helmets are available on the market, sometimes we do need something different to suit our own wants. Hence, different companies exist which offer custom motorcycle helmets exactly the way we want.

Hundreds of companies offer motorcycle helmets, but few companies offer customization options. Some companies which do are Motorcycle Helmets, McCall Colors, Garcia Custom Airbrush, Be Unique, Helmet Guy, Iron Horse Helmets, Helmet Store, and many more.

Airbrushing and painting remain the two main ways in which companies customize our helmets. Normally, solid color helmets such as black or white are given to customize. Ranging from open face to full face motorcycle helmets, all types of motorcycle helmets can be customized.

Rates for customizing differ from one company to the other. Even for basic graphic designs, companies like TC Specialized Graphics charge at least $300. Iron Horse Helmets imprints designs at the back of any black helmet for $75 each. With prices starting at $150, Be Unique provides all types of custom airbrushing.

Garcia Custom Airbrush offers different types of designs, ranging from very minimum art work to elaborate and detailed work like ‘flames’, ‘graphics’, ‘metal flake’, ‘ghost effects’, and much more. With discount offers open till April 30, 2006, EZ Air FX provides high-quality, guaranteed customized airbrushing.

Discounted custom painted helmets can all be found at Biker Needs. You can either send in our own designs, ideas, photos, drawings, or ask them to create a unique design for you. Motorcycle helmets come in certain specific designs and styles. With the help of customizing options provided by companies, we can get helmets customized according to our wishes.

Racing Motorcycle Helmets

Greg Beaty asked:

In the speed, adrenaline, and adventure driven world of racing, risk taking is applauded for the edge these decisions may give some racers over their fellow competitors. One risk no racing league, team, fans, analysts, or fellow competitors will approve of is racing without racing helmets. The sport, thrill, and competition of racing takes place in many forms. Some of the forms of racing include automobiles, bikes, motorcycles, boats, and Rollerblades. In all these instances, professional and organized competitors are required to utilize their sport-specific for of racing helmets. These helmets are either issued or approved by the governing or overseeing committee, league, or sponsor of a competition. For this reason, racers, their coaches, their pit crew members, and the fans can all expect a reasonable level of fairness and uniformity in the equipment these governing bodies allowing during the course of a competition.

On behalf of the governing body, sponsor, or organizer, the mandated safety measures provided through racing helmets calls for a significant reduction of the risk of hosting the racing event. For many competitions, insurance companies provide insurance to organizers, sponsors, and governing bodies in the event of accident, catastrophe, or injury. The costs of these insurance premiums are significantly lowered in proportion to amount of safety precautions, rules, regulations, mandates, and check the organizer of the racing events puts on racers and their teams.
